How to use command prompt in ansys apdl7/29/2023 When you know the nodal positions it looks like this: /PREP7 Location (in the active coordinate system, lowest number for NODE(x,y,z) returns the number of the selected node nearest the x,y,z Get node number by location: NODENUMBER = NODE(x,y,z) Get the last created node number: *GET, NODENUMBER, NODE, 0, NUM, MAX That means you can define a node like this: NODENUMBER = 999 Defaults to the maximum node number used +1. You can save a node number in different ways:ĭefine the number directly: N, NODE, X, Y, Z, THXY, THYZ, THZX ! Create Beam Elements for SMA using nodes selected in Component "SMAN" !Apply displacement on thickness areas and Uniform temperature with Pre-stress ONĬM,SMAN,NODE ! Group SMA nodes as Component CLEAR,NOSTART ! Clear model since no SAVE found NOPR ! Suppress printing of UNDO process Probably the selected nodes need be declared as variable and then variables need be used in element creation command. Then I don’t know how use them in element creation command i.e. Nodes numbers selection is through option “by location“ I want to create Beam Element by entering Node numbers.
